A few years ago, we could never have imagined leaving everything behind.

But sometimes, life leads us down paths we never planned to take.

And often, those unexpected paths become the most beautiful journeys of all.

Our Story

We are a family from Bavaria, Germany.

For many years, we ran a dairy farm with our own cheese dairy. Animals had always been at the heart of our everyday lives.

But over time, one dream grew stronger and stronger: not just to give animals a good life, but to create a place where they could simply be themselves.

Eventually, that dream became impossible to ignore.

So we made a decision that would change our lives forever.

We sold our farm, packed up everything we owned, and moved to Portugal with our animals.

It was a journey filled with challenges, uncertainty, and unforgettable moments—but above all, it marked the beginning of the greatest adventure of our lives.

One by one, our animals stepped onto the trailers that would take them to their new home in Portugal.

It wasn't just the beginning of a long journey, it was the beginning of a completely new life for all of us.

Arriving in Paradise

The journey was over. A new chapter had begun.

Together, we discovered a place that would become our forever home.

Today, Quinta Pé-da-Serra is our home.

A place where we live, work, and continue to turn our dream into reality, one step at a time.

Here, we care for our rescued animals, welcome guests from around the world, and are grateful for everyone who chooses to be part of our journey.
