A few days at Quinta Pé-da-Serra in Alentejo, Portugal.
A life outdoors for a while.
There's no fixed schedule here.
No program that dictates the day.
Just a farm, animals, and a shared daily life that arises from what is present.
🌿 The Day
The morning begins slowly.
Caring for animals. Coffee in the sun. Sounds from the farm, light over the fields.
And then the day unfolds on its own.
Sometimes you're in the stable. Sometimes with the animals. Sometimes out in the landscape. And sometimes you just sit and watch everything move.
Everything is possible. Nothing is mandatory.
There's no plan to fill the day.
Just things that are part of living here: caring for animals, eating together, being outdoors, simple farm work, an evening fire, and plenty of time in between.
🐴 Time with the Animals
The animals are not an attraction.
They are simply there, living their daily lives.
And you become a part of it for a time.
Some encounters happen casually, others can be deepened.
Perhaps you walk with the horses across the terrain, along paths and fields of this ancient landscape.
Sometimes you spend time with the goats, who go through the day curious and alert.
And sometimes you sit with the cows, where everything becomes calmer and slower.
None of it is planned.
🌾 Being Outdoors
The farm lies open in the landscape.
You go out, stop, look, walk on.
Often nothing more happens.
And that's exactly enough.
🌿 Daily Life on the Farm
Life here is simple.
You help out if you wish. With feeding, with eating, with making fire, with being outdoors.
Everything arises from shared activity, without a rigid structure.
🌱 Nature & Surroundings
Around the farm are fields, paths, and quiet places.
For walking, for sitting, for looking.
Without a destination.
🌙 Evenings
As darkness falls, the day changes.
Fire. Food. Conversations. Silence.
And above it, a vast sky full of stars.
Sometimes it gets late.

Not about programs.
Not about achievement.
Not about accomplishing something.
But about a few days outdoors.
With animals. With people. With time in between.
Like before.
